By using our website or booking a course, you agree to these guidelines.
1. Eligibility and Enrolment
We provide a supportive environment for adults to learn and develop.
- You must be at least 16 years old to enrol on our Level 2 courses, and 18 or over for our higher level courses.
- Counselling training requires a high level of self-reflection. By enrolling, you agree to engage in this journey of personal discovery and be open to feedback.
- You must be free from unresolved addictions or severe mental health difficulties that could impact your learning or the wellbeing of your peers.
- If you have specific learning needs or a disability, please let us know so we can discuss reasonable adjustments to support your education.
2. Payments, Deposits and Cancellations
We aim to keep our payment processes clear and straightforward.
- Secure Payments with Stripe: We use Stripe to process all course deposits and payments securely online. We do not store your credit or debit card details directly on our systems.
- Cooling-off Period: You are legally entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you book your course. If you cancel within this time, your deposit will be fully refunded.
- Deposits: Once the 14-day cooling-off period has passed, your deposit becomes non-refundable unless we are forced to cancel the course entirely.
- Course Fees: Once your course has commenced and the cooling-off period has expired, you are liable for the full course fees, even if you choose to leave early or do not complete the training.
- Payment Plans: If you choose to pay in instalments, you agree to make the scheduled payments on the agreed dates. Failure to do so may result in your place on the course being suspended.
3. Attendance and Professional Conduct
Creating a safe and trusting environment is vital for counselling training.
- Attendance: You are expected to attend the initial classes to ensure you bond with your group. Regular attendance is required to pass the course.
- Live Learning: Our courses are delivered live online. You will need a reliable internet connection, a working webcam, and a quiet, private space to join the sessions.
- Respect and Confidentiality: You must maintain strict confidentiality regarding anything shared by peers during skills practice or group discussions.
- Behaviour: We will not tolerate any abusive, aggressive, or unethical behaviour towards tutors or peers. Such actions will result in your immediate removal from the training without a refund.
4. Privacy Policy and Data Protection
Your privacy is incredibly important to us. We handle your personal information strictly in accordance with UK data protection laws.
- Data We Collect: When you register or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, and postal address.
- How We Use Your Data: We use your information purely to fulfil our contractual obligations to you. This includes processing your enrolment, communicating about your course, and arranging your certification with relevant awarding bodies.
- Sharing Information: We will never sell your personal data. We only share necessary details with trusted third parties, such as our awarding bodies for your certificates, and Stripe for processing your payments securely.
- Your Rights: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct mistakes, or request that we delete your information entirely.
